Pedestrian hurt in hit-and-run crash in Ellesmere

Police and paramedics were called to a hit-and-run crash in Ellesmere. A pedestrian, a man, was hit by the car on Brownlow Road at about 11.20pm on Sunday, April 17.

Paramedics treated the man for minor injuries and he was discharged at the scene. Police officers are now trying to identify the car involved.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: “On Sunday 17 April officers received a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian that was reported to have happened around 11.20pm on Brownlow Road, Ellesmere. Officers and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended.

“The pedestrian received a non-life changing injury and the car failed to stop at the scene. Officers are currently carrying out enquiries to identify the car.”

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “We were called to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Brownlow Road at 11.57pm on Sunday, a paramedic officer attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one male patient, the pedestrian.

“Following treatment for minor injuries, he was discharged at the scene.”
