Adil Ray delivered a damning take down of Boris Johnson on Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain as the heat cranks up on the PM, in light of further shocking party allegations and the news that the Metropolitan Police will launch an investigation.
As the whole country awaits the report from Sue Gray into what seems like a never ending array of parties that are said to have taken place at Downing Street at various occasions during the coronavirus lockdown, it came to light that Johnson himself had a birthday get together at No.10, with the event not just attended by members of staff, but by family friend, interior designer Lulu Lyttle as well.
The chaos and controversy surrounding the prime minister once again dominated the agenda as GMB returned to screens for another edition on Wednesday and Adil did not hold back when it came to giving his opinions on the matter.
Kicking things off, Lingo star Adil said: “His own personal adviser broke the rules, he has to get rid of him; his health secretary broke the rules, he had to get rid of him and now he himself is at the centre of a criminal police investigation.
“I mean you couldn’t make this up! It’s the worst possible situation!”
Susanna responded: “We have the prime minister now facing being interviewed by the police, because of course Scotland Yard finally decided to investigate yesterday after Cressida Dick said they will launch this investigation… for a serious and flagrant breach of lockdown rules.
“He could be interviewed by police as a witness, or under caution as a suspect.
“It’s actually remarkable and, of course, all of this comes out of Sue Gray’s Partygate report which could be published today.
Adil and Sysanna’s take down of Johnson comes after their former GMB colleague Piers Morgan shared a letter from the PM, sent to a member of the public in March 2020, thanking her for not having a birthday party.
